Near Clitheroe, Lancashire
This 4 star retreat centre is probably the most stunning building I have the pleasure of running retreats from. It is a former Cistercian Abbey founded in 1296, which was largely demolished after the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century, and turned into a country house. The hall used for the yoga is beautiful, and if the weather is favourable we are able to do the yoga outside.
The rooms here are all en-suite, usually with beautiful views, and/or beamed ceilings. The walk is to a beautiful nature reserve, Spring Wood, and just walking or sitting in the grounds brings peace and rejuvenation.
The usual retreat activities take place here, but with the added bonus that the yoga can take place within the beautiful grounds. There is also the opportunity to try some Ayurvedic cleansing techniques such as Neti pot cleansing, and oil pulling.
Price is £480 for new students and £450 for returning students
